We as NWE, a non-governmental organization, are devoted to promoting gender equality, empowering women, and improving environmental well-being through sustainable projects. The organization aims to empower women and girls socially and economically, ensuring a future where they live in a sustainable, peaceful environment with equal rights and opportunities, free from violence.
We are also deeply dedicated to the environment, emphasizing its commitment to protecting and improving the natural world as a valuable asset in the country. Furthermore, the organization recognizes the importance of preserving, honouring, and transmitting the cultural and historical character of our communities. This is crucial to ensure that the lessons from the past continue to echo in the present, guiding us into the future. Both these goals can be met through hiking and memorial trails while these trails also play a role in fostering personal growth, community engagement, and a profound appreciation for the world that surrounds us.
NWE’s headquarters is located in Halabja. It officially began its activities in October 2012, focusing on projects in the Halabja governorate across four main sectors: Women, Environment, Media, and Vulnerable Groups.
